01 / FOR DEVELOPERS

Keep your flow.
Move the heavy work.

Let discomp handle the compute while you work on what comes next.

❯ discomp run -- make test

✓ Send your code to the grid

✓ Run in an isolated microVM

✓ Bring the results back to your workflow

YOUR CODE → THE GRID → YOUR RESULTS

Less waiting. More building.

Offload tests, builds, and long tasks. Keep your development machine for the work in front of you.

Your workflow comes with you.

Use the CLI, connect your coding agent through MCP, or run a job on a GitHub push.

Choose where your code runs.

Use the shared grid, or run private code on your team’s own machines. Each task gets its own microVM.

01

See what you can share.

Use the estimator to explore your CPU and RAM contribution. Your executor checks actual capacity when you connect.

02

Get ready for early access.

Early access opens soon. The planned sign-up flow will collect machine details and verify your email.

03

Connect. Then carry on.

The planned enrollment flow includes an owner agreement and one install command. After setup, lending is automatic.

YOUR MACHINE. YOUR CONDITIONS.

The owner comes first.
Every time.

On battery? Too hot? Memory under pressure? Lending follows your machine’s conditions. When a condition ends, the affected VM stops and the task runs elsewhere.

04 / GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
worth knowing.

Read about trust & privacy
Which machines can join?

Apple silicon Macs and Linux machines with KVM. The default partition mode needs at least 4 logical cores and more than 8 GiB of RAM. Smaller machines can use idle-all mode if enough capacity is free. The executor checks disk space and the machine’s conditions before it offers capacity.

When does my machine lend compute?

Lending is automatic. Your machine lends only on AC power, with usable virtualization, safe temperatures, and normal memory pressure. Idle-all mode also waits until you have been idle for 5 minutes, or nobody is logged in. There is no pause or resume switch.

What happens when I need my machine?

Your conditions come first. If a condition ends, discomp stops the affected VM and queues the task on another machine. In partition mode, part of your CPU, RAM, and free disk stays reserved for you while you work.

What can owners earn?

We plan to reward contributions with compute credits. The rate is not set. This site estimates capacity, not earnings. Cash payments are not part of Release 1.

Can I use discomp for private code?

A team can run jobs on its own machines only. On the shared grid, jobs run on machines of verified owners under an agreement. A machine owner with admin rights can inspect the code inside a VM. Read our trust and privacy page for the full model.

How do I get started?

Owner early access opens soon. You can use the estimator now. The planned sign-up flow will require email verification. Before a machine joins, you must sign the owner agreement. One account is allowed per person.
